On my way home today, I stopped in at 9:30pm to get some petrol. Oh shit. It’s Tuesday, when all the stingy douchebags of the suburb congregate together at the petrol stations. I drive 5 minutes to the next station, and it’s deserted - I shit you not, it’s 2c more expensive. I don’t know about you, but an hour of waiting in line isn’t worth the pathetic 60c I would’ve saved waiting in line at the ‘cheaper’ station.

Every tuesday (In australia at least), a 3km cue of cars to fill up on petrol because it’s $1.41 a litre instead of $1.44. They’d rather spend 15 minutes in the car waiting to save what they think is a fortune, when $2 worth of petrol would’ve been consumed waiting in line with the engine running anyway.

The pain: These people are prouder about it than this guy.

Sure, if you’re strapped for cash those few dollars might make a big difference for you. Yet half the cars at the pump on these occassions aren’t shitboxs, they’re Lexus and Beamers. The owners spent $40,000 more on their car than anyone else, but that precious dollar still means the fucking world to them.

If you went up to the average sally or frank on the street offering $2 to stand where they are for 12 minutes, you’ll get fucked off straight away (people waiting for the bus and hobo’s not included). Lets illustrate the average middle class frank who avoided getting petrol on monday when there was no line.

The same goes for folks who think they’re smarter than Einstein because they use their 4c shopper discount vouchers and believe their retiring fund is complete. The supermarket that gives you these ’sick dealz’ aren’t giving you something for nothing, the cost of that 4c/l voucher is hidden in the store prices.

Even if it wasn’t, people go and drive 20km out of their way just to reach one of these stations who run the promotion to fill up 40 litres.

I’ll make that easier for any of these people reading this now, since I can only assume you’d also be too retarded to calculate simple maths too. 40 litres x 4 cents = $1.60
